    Filmmaker and MOR Fellow Daisy Okazaki ’25 Explores Asian American Identity

    ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ student Daisy Okazaki ’25, a media studies major and Asian American studies minor, has received the Margo Okazawa-Rey Fellowship to create a community-rooted film project centered on the experiences of young Southeast Asian women. Partnering with Oakland-based Banteay Srei, Okazaki is producing a short film and accompanying curriculum exploring themes of identity, trauma, healing, and sisterhood. A lifelong storyteller and member of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s Pasifika Asian Student Union, Okazaki aims to uplift Asian American communities through film and art.
