Vitor Lacerda Siqueira is from Minas Gerais in Brazil. As an international student at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, he majored in linguistics and received a minor in Spanish. In addition to his work as a Portuguese Fletcher Jones Language Fellow, he co-founded and presided over the Brazil Club at the Claremont Colleges. In the fall, he will begin his PhD in Linguistics at NYU, focusing on the phonology of Amazonian languages.

"As a linguistics major, I loved when students asked me challenging questions about language that I had never considered. It was also wonderful to see how much they progressed in a short period of time."
