During the 2022–23 academic year, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students and alumni earned a multitude of awards and fellowships to conduct research, teach English, create social change, engage communities, and pursue their academic interests around the globe.
Recent ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ grad Ella Rosenblatt '23 was interviewed on her birthday for 17 years by her filmmaker father Jay Rosenblatt. How Do You Measure A Year was nominated for a 2023 Academy Award.
The award is part of the recently announced selection of seven recipients of more than $5 million in funding as part of its Higher Education in Prisons program.
A strong combination makes this program special: the home stay, intensive Spanish, hands-on internships, and raising questions of social justice and environmental health. It’s all part of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s mission and ICADS’ mission.
Award recipients have strived for social change, whether by leading writing workshops, combining athletics and mental wellness, launching community composting, or producing reentry resources for formerly incarcerated and homeless people.
