The Mystery of Gray Matter
It’s long been recognized that the low faculty-to-student ratio at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ and its Claremont peers is especially valuable for any student studying or majoring in the sciences. For a long time, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ shared a science program with Scripps and Claremont McKenna Colleges (Pomona and Harvey Mudd have their own). Here we see Biology Professor Richard Lewis and three of his ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students taking a closer look at two human brain specimens in 1997. This kind of intimate research experience is still true today for the Department of Natural Sciences of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ and Scripps Colleges. In fact, for any prospective students interested in having regular up-close lab experiences like this, choosing to attend ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ should be—pardon the pun—a no-brainer.
