Additional Advising Notes for Non-ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Students

  • Academic Credit - A ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Program is generally equivalent to a U.S. college or university semester with four courses (16 semester units; 24 quarter units). Summer programs are usually worth two courses (8-semester credits or 12 quarter units). Upon completion of the program, grades will be submitted to the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Office of the Registrar, where they will be recorded on an official ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ transcript and sent to the non-ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ student's host institution. Transcripts are generally available two to three months after the program ends. Before participating, students should understand their home campus policy for awarding credit and translating grades from a ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ study abroad program.
  • Costs - Many schools allow students to apply their financial aid funds to a study abroad program. Check with your study abroad or financial aid office for specifics on your institution’s policy. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ does not offer financial aid to non-ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students.
