Apply as a ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Student

Step 1: Attend a Mandatory Information Session

At our general information sessions, you’ll learn about the study abroad application process, key considerations, and the various program options available. Attending an information session is the first step for all ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students.

Step 2: Meet with a Study Abroad Adviser

After attending an information session, you should visit the Study Abroad Advising page to make an appointment.

Step 3: Request an Application from your Study Abroad Adviser

After you have attended an information session, met with a study abroad adviser, and have narrowed down your program choice and the term, you may proceed with requesting a ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Study Abroad Application. Email the office at studyabroad@pitzer.edu to request an application.

Step 4: Complete Application Requirements

All ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students must complete the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Study Abroad Application. Students who are petitioning for a non-approved program will have additional application components and should visit the website for additional details and considerations.

Step 5: Submit Your Application by the Deadline

Typically, there are three priority application deadlines (see below). However, extended deadlines may occasionally be offered at other times of the year for select approved programs.

Note that deadlines for all approved programs during the Fall or Spring occur two semesters before your intended study abroad term.

All non-approved program applications for the following academic year (Fall and Spring) are due in November of the previous year. Please note: There are no deadline extensions for non-approved programs. All petitions must be submitted by November 15, without exception.

After you have gone through the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ study abroad process and are approved, you will complete the necessary forms for your chosen program. Additional program specific details will be provided to you after your approval.
